Frank DiBlasio

Frank DiBlasio, 78, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and formerly of Closter, NJ, died peacefully on June 7, 2022 after a heroic battle against Parkinson’s disease. Frank was born in Teaneck, NJ to his parents Ann and Frank DiBlasio.

Frank is the beloved husband of Elizabeth DiBlasio, and a cherished uncle of Tara Jannucci and her partner Eric Ditges.

He is predeceased by parents and his sister, Judith DiBlasio.

Frank graduated from Teaneck High School in Teaneck, NJ. After graduation, he enrolled in Teterboro School of Aeronautics. Shortly after graduating he applied to, and was accepted at, American Airlines. Loyal and dedicated, Frank spent his entire career, 40 years, at American Airlines. Frank loved being a mechanic and loved fixing things. Beyond his professional love of repairing jets, Frank had passion for Corvettes. Frank restored and owned over 20 in his lifetime!

Frank had every tool you could imagine, so he quickly became a favorite in the neighborhood. When friends and neighbors needed help, they knew who to call. He never hesitated to lend a hand to someone in need.

There are no words adequate to honor the beautiful soul that is Frank DiBlasio. Known to all that crossed his path as kind, compassionate, easy going, caring of friends and family and, most importantly, a devoted husband. Frank showered Liz with unparalleled and unwavering love. His bright smile and gentle touch will be missed. However his memory is forever etched on the hearts of all that met him, and eternally on Elizabeth’s soul.

Frank and I were neighbors on Irvington Rd. in Teaneck, N.J. We were friends as youngsters and drove go carts, went sleigh riding and flew model airplanes together. One of my fondest memories was going across the street to Christmas Eve and the DiBlasio's. They really did it up in a big way. The decorations, the food (Ann, his mother was an incredible cook) were very special. The great memory was when Frank's father Frank Sr. would bring home lots of pizzas from the Parkview Tavern in Englewood, NJ. It was a great neighborhood in which  to grow up.

Hell of a guy. We had mechanical drawing together. Good memories of Frank. My best wishes to his family.
